The ARISCAT Score was developed to predict the risk of in-hospital postoperative pulmonary complications - as defined as the occurrence of respiratory failure, respiratory infection, pleural effusion, atelectasis, pneumothorax, bronchospasm or aspiration pneumonitis - after surgery with general, neuraxial or regional anesthesia.
