VISION perioperative risk using NT-proBNP

Predict risk of MI, vascular death, and all-cause death in patients having non-cardiac surgery

About

Developed in a cohort of 10,402 patients age 45 and older who had major noncardiac surgery from the VISION study, this tool uses preoperative NT-proBNP in addition to other predictors from the Revised Cardiac Risk Index to provide updated estimates of perioperative cardiovascular risk up to 30 days after surgery.
