New England Spinal Metastatic Score (NESMS)
Prognostication of mortality in patients with spinal metastases.
About
The New England Metastatic Spinal Score (NESMS) is a prognostic tool for survival in
patients with spinal metastases. It is helpful for guiding clinicians in their decision
making, and enabling patients to better understand the outcomes associated with their
spinal metastasis.
Numerous studies have found NESMS to be superior to alternative legacy prognostic
scores such as Tokuhashi, Bauer, Tomita and SINS.
